Greetings all! Had an interesting experience yesterday. My wife and I took our daughter up to a little town in mid-Missouri to register her for the fall semester of *college* at a state-run engineering university! Image that, me with a daughter old enough for college. ;-) How time flies.
Anyway, I thought you would enjoying hearing about one of our own. Geoffrey Gould writes:
"Since moving [to California] I've been doing some acting: http://us.imdb.com/Name?Gould,+Geoffrey"Turns out when I did do an X-Files episode (episode 607: 'Rain King') I became mine own nitpick! I hadn't realized it until my brother saw the episode and pointed it out. During the High School reunion dance (filmed in Culver City HS gym), I can be seen numerous times (mostly dancing with two different blonde women: that's not the gaffe). In one shot towards the end I am wearing my grey jacket and in the very next shot it's off and I'm just wearing my blue shirt! Boop!
"Most of the time I'd kept my jacket on the chair at our table, but somehow I wore it during a take on the dance floor: I have no recollection doing so, but it's right there in the episode. Normally I do keep an eye out for mine own continuity but that one somehow got by me (actress Beth Aylward and I kept an eye on camera movements during the rehearsal and we kept our own dance movements to maintain subtley keeping in frame <bg>; a couple of the crew began to refer to us a 'a cute couple' <g>. As it was, during one of the camera rehearsals, Gillian Anderson nearly stepped on my foot as she turned away from Victoria Jackson)."
So there you have it! One of our own. . . in Hollywood . . . on the X-Files . . . making a nitpick . . . and proud of it!! ;-)
As for me . . . I'm still bury in work and still no idea when I might get around to uploading the stuff that I had done on the aborted Star Wars Nitpickers Guide.
