THIS WEEK AT NITCENTRAL

Sunday, April 5, 1998

Last week I started my first pass through the adult novel for the as yet unnamed Nitpicker's Guide for Star Wars. Working on the Han Solo triology at the moment!

Melanie Koleini sent me a fun theory this week: First, I should say I don't realy want this to happen but Star Trek has been know to do strange things.

Jennifer Sisko could show up on Voyager.

It might sound far feched but let me explain:

1) Jennifer Sisko was lost at Wolf 359 (ST:DS9 "Emissary"part I)(Ok, I know she died. I'll explain that in a minute!)

2) The Borg took prisoners at Wolf 359. (ST:V, "Unity")

3) Even though the Borg cube was destroyed(ST:TNG,"Best of Both Worlds"?), prisoners from Wolf 359 somehow managed to get to the Delta Quad. (ST:V, "Unity")

4) Borg nanoprobes can bring people back from the dead. (ST:V, "Mortal Coil")(the episode where Neelix dies and baby Wildman gets named Niomi)

5) Borg can be un-assimilated.(ST:V, "Scorpion" part 2)

I dout the writers intentionally set up this scenario. But is it really any more far-feched than Tasha Yar living out her final years on Romulus?

Jennifer showing up might make an interesting episode but unless she dies at the end Star Trek will have stolen a plot from Days_of_Our_Lives. I can see it now, Voyager arrives at DS9 just in time to stop Capt. Sisko from marrying Casedy Yates. Jake is torn between his fauther and the mother he thought he had lost and Star Trek gets an article in Soap_Opera_Weekly.

No uploads. All the files are frozen. Waiting for fresh meat!

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: The Brash Reflections for the third season of Voyager are officially frozen. However, you may feel free to send in additional nits for the episodes. I will keep the information for future reference and possible inclusion in a Voyager Nitpicker's Guide. Also frozen are Trials and Tribble-ations, along with all movie files. Also, aside from "Trials and Tribble-ations"--which was a special case, there aren't any Brash Reflections for DS9 on the website. Sorry. Just don't have the time to do another series and I started with Voyager when I started the homepage.
