What a great time the our choir had singing at the Holiday Prelude concert this past weekend. Loads of fun. But also, loads of work and I'm tired! (But it's a good tired! ;-)
Anyway, I was planning to upload a few more topics for The Kitchen Sink tonight but I'm out of time. I'm try to get to it tomorrow night.
Our illustrious band of moderators for the discussion board (www.nitcentral.com/discus) continues to grow. Since last we talked, I have five more moderators to introduce to you:
Nicholas Setzer (nsetzer@nitcentral.com) is taking care of the new Pretender topic (A thousand apologies that I didn't get it right the first time, Nick!)
Amanda Sinclair (asinclaire@nitcentral.com) is heading up the Quantum Leap topic.
Declan Quinn (dquinn@nitcentral.com) will watch over the Stargate SG-1 topic
Tim Riggins (triggins@nitcentral.com) will oversee the Highlander topic.
And Robert Donahou (rdonahou@nitcentral.com) will provide direction for the Star Trek Novels section (currently limited to the New Frontier and Captain's Table series)
That makes sixteen! The others in our little moderating corner of the web include:
Aaron Nadler (anadler@nitcentral.com), Slider
Joel Boutiere (jboutiere@nitcentral.com), X-Files
Michael Cheyne (mcheyne@nitcentral.com) Mike's Movies
Andrew Corcoran (acorcoran@nitcentral.com), Red Dwarf
Chris George (cgeorge@nitcentral.com), DS9
Lee Jamilkowski (ljamilkowski@nitcentral.com), Sliders
Murray Leeder (mleeder@nitcentral.com), The Trek Animated Series
Mike Konczemski (mkonczewski@nitcentral.com), Doctor Who
Amos Painter (apainter@nitcentral.com), Earth: Final Conflict
Mathew Patternson (mpatterson@nitcentral.com), Seven Days
Jon Raines (jraines@nitcentral.com) Classic Trek, Next Gen
Richie Vest (rvest@nitcentral.com), Voyager
Remember . . . if there's a television series that you'd like to see on the boards that isn't there yet, I am more than happy to add it. (Provided it meets my standards for decorum. Baywatch doesn't! ;-) All you have to do is volunteer to moderate! (And you even get your own free email forwarding address at nitcentral.com. Such a deal I'm making you!)
And speaking of topics, Brian Webber has asked if I would find another moderator for the Babylon 5 topic. (He's starting his own discussion board on his own website). So . . . if you like Babylon 5 and would like to moderate a topic on it, now's your chance!
Oh and I received some fabulous news recently. My first editor--the person who recognized the wonder of the Nitpicker's Guides in the first place--Jeanne Cavelos has a new book coming out. Yea!
It's called "The Science of the X-Files" and you can read all about it on Jeanne's website at: http://www.sff.net/people/jcavelos/xf.htp
AND . . . I have a little announement to pass along. I you happen to live in the St. Louis area and have some few time in a couple of weeks, you might be interested to know that I'll be at an all day X-phile's event on November 21st at St. Louis Community College Forest Park (5600 Oakland Avenue, St. Louis MO 63110) from 9 AM to 4 PM. If you'd like further information, you can contact Donna Bakke at bakke@i1.net or dbakke@fpmail.stlcc.cc.mo.us !
